Where has the time gone!

Jalen now has 2 Christmas's under his belt. He still didn't get the idea that he could unleash his brute strength on unwrapping gifts. Oh well! He will have it down in no time by his next Birthday and then of course be a seasoned professional by Christmas. So much has happened since the last blog I do not even know where to begin or recall. He is really trying to talk to us and is much better at understanding us. We are picking up on his baby sign language and he is picking up on ours as well.

I think it is so cute when he calls for Oscar. The poor dog has been so confused lately. When Jalen says it (pronounced Os-ka) we of course repeat it the right way and then Oscar will look up at us or come over and look at us like, "What?" Auntie Shauna has been working on him to say Auna (she thought the "Sh" sound would be too hard). Before the day was over he was saying. I've also noticed that he is really trying to repeat things I say too... I need to be careful with this one!

Jalen was overloaded with Christmas gifts this year. He's done a good job with playing with them all. He thinks he such a big boy when he's playing with the battery operated ones. When he gets them to go off... he will look at us and smile like, "Did you just see what I did?!" I love it! I've noticed that he is running a lot more around the house lately. I think this is his preferred way of transportation these days.

He currently is working on healing from his second ear infection. He was kinda pulling at his ear but we noticed that he was falling over more. The doc confirmed that he has a mild ear infection and that was the reason for him walking tipsy. If we wouldn't have noticed that we would have never known. He doesn't hardly cry.
