Jalen is now 9 months old and recently had his well baby appointment. This was the first time he saw his new Doctor. While at the appointment we found out that Jalen is of course still healthy and right on track with grown and development. Maybe a little a head of his times. He is in the 99th % for his weight, 75th% for his head circumference, and 50th% for his height. He received a Hepatitis shot and took it like a champ.
On the developmental side of things he is now walking. Not long distances but approximately one side of a large room to the other before he bends down to start crawling. We can't believe he is doing it already! His dad absolutely loves it too! I know he is thinking that sooner than later he will be wrestling around with his son and make a team effort to torture mom.
Among other things he is saying Da da, daddy, mama, baba, and all the other syllables. He loves when people clap for him and he will return that favor by clapping for you too. Right now we are trying to teach him to wave good bye and hello, but he doesn't have that down yet. He's been too worried about walking. Jalen is such a pleaser and will show off for you and turn back to see if you are watching him. If he sees that you are, he will give you the biggest smile from ear to ear knowing that it's the cutest thing ever. We will update soon with pictures showing off all the new outfits he got for the impending cold weather.
