Moving onto Another Exciting Chapter

As usual, it has been forever since the last blog and as expected a lot has happened in that time.  I finished student teaching so I am officially a teacher (Certified but not employed :( ).  Jalen is potty trained except for at night.  He still wears a diaper and wets it once throughout the night.  Jalen turned 3 years old before Christmas!  He went for his 3 year check up and he was in the 50% for his height, weight, and BMI.  I hate the BMI chart by the way.  It has never been a friend of mine nor any other athlete.  I will not use this as a guide to my child's health ever.  Both Ty and I have been nearly obese on that chart our whole school age lives.  On another note, Jalen also moved up from the toddler room at daycare to the preschool room.  His transition has gone so well and I hear great things about him.  The teachers think he is doing awesome! 

Jalen's hair is long (for him) and very curly.  I love it.  I even catch him curling it in between his fingers.  I purchased an iPad with my birthday money and Jalen has LOVED it.  He can navigate around the applications like it's his 9 to 5.  We have to keep the playing at a minimum because otherwise he will choose not to use the potty or play the iPad over all of his other toys.  We as parents and physical educators are not okay with that.  We use it as a reward more than a babysitter.  I do use it as a babysitter while at Dad's wrestling meets though.  It keeps Jalen still (which is rare) so I can actually watch wrestler vs. watch Jalen to make sure he doesn't hurt himself climbing on something or go on the mat during a match. 

This family also has a bun in the oven.  I am now 26 weeks along with Jalen's baby sister.  This pregnancy has been completely different compared to Jalen's.  This is why Ty believed all along we were having a girl.  I for some reason still am not sold 100% we are having a girl.  This is because I pictured myself with all boys.  I forget to remember that I am married  to a wrestler and the wrestler's curse may have been to blame.  We still do not have a name for this very active child growing inside of me.  Jalen is starting to show some changes as my body is changing.  He has been somewhat clingy and I am only left to wonder if he has an idea things will be changing very soon.  I found my old pregnancy blog and we showed Jalen pictures of me pregnant with him.  We tried to explain to him that just like him, his sister is growing inside of me and will be outside for us to see just like him.  Not sure if he understood but he had such a cute smile while looking at the pictures of me pregnant with him.

                                                                 
This is me 28 weeks pregnant with Jalen.  I feel that at 26 weeks i look about this pregnant.  It's weird because with Jalen I measured small by one or two weeks and with this one I am measuring ahead by one or two weeks.
